Kane marks his century goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has revealed that his interest in returning to the Premier League has lessened and he is willing to explore a new deal with Bayern Munich.
The star striker is currently halfway through the four-year contract he signed when transferring to from Tottenham Hotspur for £86.4m in the transfer window of 2023.
The veteran forward has scored an impressive 103 goals in 106 games for the German team, playing a key role in them secure the 2024-25 Bundesliga crown - which represented the maiden major honor of his illustrious career.
Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has earlier stated that he would welcome to see Kane come back to England, where he requires 48 goals to break Alan Shearer's record Premier League scoring milestone of 260.
However, the England skipper has now clarified that he is no longer as eager about coming back home as he previously was, and would seriously contemplate prolonging his tenure in Bavaria.
"In terms of staying longer, I could certainly see that," he commented.
"I mentioned openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those conversations with Bayern yet, but if they were to occur I would be willing to talk and have an frank conversation.
"Obviously it hinges on how the next year or so progresses and what we attain together. Right now, I would say we are in a excellent moment and I am not focusing about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had questioned me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would probably say that has diminished a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have discovered in my career is that different opportunities and different timings happen and things fall in place. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am completely all in with Bayern."
Milestone Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the record top marksman for both Tottenham and England and recently became the fastest player this century to reach 100 goals for a club competing in one of Europe's top five divisions, attaining the milestone in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a title had escaped him until he secured the German title last season.
Kane reveals that he was not sure how he would respond after ending his trophy barren spell, but now thinks it has made him hungry for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be natural to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he continued.
"But it's given me more inspiration to do more and be better. I think I've demonstrated that this year.
"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to attain in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I pushed myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
