The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
Briton Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" his opponent as the pair met personally to build hype for the upcoming bout.
Former two time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Attitude
"I'm going to break his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to really want to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - typically famous for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul instead targeted former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
However, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's largest money-making draws, frequently receiving massive earnings.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old anticipated a knockout win in rounds four or five and stated he would derail the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.
"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.
Physical Difference
As both boxers participated in the usual face-off, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it highlighted just how surprising this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the match is actually proceeding.
